I'm not sure if this is possible, but I would like to print a panoramic photo I took recently. I don't know a whole lot so I was hoping to get my questions answered here. I used PTgui to stitch together 12 photos I took and I had to crop it from there because of the black borders created by PTgui. The full resolution is now 5905x1336. Would it be possible to print this? Sorry for all the noobie questions I've never printed any of my photos as I normally just like to use them as backgrounds or just get normal 4x6 prints so I don't have to deal with editing in photoshop or anything like that.

I know my way around photoshop so if some editing is required I can do that. Thanks so much in advance for all your help.

I'm usually on MSN so if you want to contact me that way you should be able to by clicking on the MSN butterfly logo under my name. Thanks

You can definitely print a pano print from that file, plenty of resolution there, question, what size print are you looking for? Do you have something in mind?

Hi dreuther,

Thanks for the quick response! To tell you the truth I'm not really sure what size would be great. What sizes are available and could you tell me what the prices are? If theres a link that I missed that has all that info you could link me that Thanks!

Unfortunately, that is a tough question to answer as we can just about print any size you would like. Going off the pixel dimensions you provide, you could get an 8x36 which would run about $12.95. If you wanted to really big, you could do a 30x132 which would run about $66 if you went through our poster special where we charge by the linear inch for any size over 60", keep in mind though you would need to order a minimum of 2 prints for the poster special, does not need to be 2 of that size, and even can be another file, just as long as you order a minimum of 2 poster size print. Most client go that route and order 1 20x30 and then 1 of their pano size. Just an idea.

OK. I think I'll try the 8x36 for now and when I get them I'll just re-order larger sizes.

Thanks Devin. Also, is there anything I need to do to the file before I send it over?

Right now its in jpg and psd.

As for the file itself, RGB jpeg preferred, though we can accept tif. Outside of that, you should be all set. To order, you will be going through our ROES ordering system. Once it starts up, you will want to choose either the Straight to Print or Color Corrected Catalog. In either one of those catalogs there is a tab for Panoramic prints, there is no 8x36 size, but what you can do is select the 12x36 size, drop your image onto the template and then with the tools below the image, there is a fit or crop bottom, choose fit, that way your file will not be center cropped, unless you like what you see. Should you run into issues or have questions, please feel free to call us here at 800-446-3526.
