We unfortunately do not accept the PDF format for any printing we offer here. You will need to export out your pdf as and RGB jpeg file. What size poster prints are you looking to get?

ah i see.

i was hoping to make 30x30 or 30x40 poster sized prints of some software art i was making... (its easier to write vectors to pdf than to jpg for this kind of stuff)

Export it to a tiff then. Just make sure the file is in the RGB color space, not CMYK. The export resolution should be no higher than 254dpi, both of which you can control in the export settings. I do know that if you have Acrobat Professional, you can export the pdf to a tif or jpeg as well, though it is probably safer to do it from Illustrator.
